Network Administrator
Job Description:
As a Network Administrator, you will play a critical role in overseeing and maintaining the organization's computer networks, ensuring their smooth and secure operation. Your responsibilities include managing network hardware, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and implementing security measures to safeguard our network infrastructure.
Skills Required:
· Proven experience as a network administrator or in a similar role.
· Strong knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and technologies such as Cisco, Juniper routers, firewall, Wireshark, SolarWinds.
· Understanding of network security best practices and experience with security tools and technologies.
· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls, to ensure optimal performance and availability.
· Implement security measures to protect network systems and data, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
· Identify and resolve network connectivity issues, both proactively and creatively, to minimize downtime.
· Collaborate with the IT team to design and plan network solutions that meet the organization's current and future needs.
· Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and system logs to optimize network efficiency.
· Establish data backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery capabilities.
· Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
· Work with network equipment vendors and service providers to ensure timely support and resolution of network-related issues.
